When I was young I was idealist…
I found beauty, meaning and wonder everywhere looked.
When I got older I became realist…
I saw a world of rough edges and difficult truths.
The grew tiresome, I decided to be surrealist…
Things got pretty weird after that.
Painting, word, sound, film, sculpture, performance….Art.
Russell Bell has been Bath Spa University graduate artist in residence at Bath Artists’ Studios from October 2017.
